He did commit many great sins, which we may never think of it like, he murdered the Uriah the husband of the wife with whom he committed adultery. Even after his sins were heinous God did not leave him why? The answer is simple he is consistently faithful and obedient to God. He often turns to God and prays and most of all he deeply cares for the Lord God. This proves that even if we stray away from God at times, but we must make sure to come back to God and trust the Lord with all our heart and soul. The God rewards the loyalty and the obedience once again forgiving all the past sins we committed. If we stay calm and keep his faith we will be strengthened in Him. There are many other people in Bible who were chosen to do the work of God, who failed and got into the temptations but their consistent faith set them free.
